By: hawkeye1 - I have the D70 with a 1 gig memory card that is approx. 50% full. I have downloaded images to my computer periodically. Last week, the "FOR" indicater appeared in the display window. I turned the camera off and on, and it seemed to correct itself. It has now reappeared, and I am instructed to format the memory card. I don't want to lose some of the images on the card. Anybo...]]>

Nikon D50 or Canon 350D?
By: ellover009 - I have shot and tried both the D50 and the 350xt. The D50 is a great camera yield good results out of the camera, 6mp ccd has good quality. Only things I disliked about the D50 is that the pictures seemed to be a bit aggresive, colors didn't look natural just too overexposed. I prefered the more neutral and more natural looking pictures of the 350xt, the noise on the xt is bett...]]>

Advice me a best option of Flashgun
By: Orac - Going by the DSLR lens mm X 1.5 = 35mm film equivalent, a flash that covers 28mm to 80mm for 35mm film should be sufficient. If you're going wider then 24 or 20 mm wide coverage. For 300mm, most flashes only go to 105mm (35mm film) anyway, so it's kinda a non issue. As for brands, check Sunpak, Nikon, Vivitar websites for specs & mm coverage.]]>

Canon 70-200 F2.8 IS -v- non-IS Version
By: avatar3k - I shoot Nikon, but I use my 70-200 f/2.8 VR ALOT, which is basically the same thing. I love that I have VR on it, and it's really helpful when I'm shooting speakers in small rooms where flash would disturb people - on a monopod with VR/IS on, I can get great 1/30second exposures. Oh, and I shoot sports too, although I don't find VR to be nearly as useful then.]]>

Best Lenses
By: avatar3k - THe problem with Canon is that there are, perhaps, too many lenses available. For anybody to give you an asnwer within reason, you need to figure out what you shoot and how you intend to shoot it.]]>

Photography Magazines - Recommendations?
By: avatar3k - magazines are often repetitive - go to a bookstore, flip through it once, and that's it. the best 2 ways to learn are talking to pros and the internet, in that order.]]>

-What is wrong with the EF-S 17-85 kit lens??
By: avatar3k - Being able to handhold and get a single good 1/5second exposure out of several is not an indication that handholding is sufficient for 1/5 second.]]>

Neat Image Calibration Images for Canon Rebel XT.
By: ranjit - Hi guys, I am trying to shoot the calibration target image from the Neat image software to make a noise profile from RAW. The one available there works for adobe camera raw, but I use capture one. I saw some one by name of Alan Bremner who made that profile which has 93% to 96% quality. The ones which I make are not crossing 74% at all :( I found some posts in this forum with...]]>
