What were these weistar from?

I just got two M42 lenses, haven't tried them yet.
Auto Weistar 55mm f1.7 lens no. 290996
Super Weistar 35mm f2.8 lens no. 300563
I can see they are all made in Japen, but I couldn't find any inforamtion after googling for a while.
Could anybody tell anything about these two lenses? How good they are, comparing Takumar 50mm and 35mm, for example.

Only things I disliked about the D50 is that the pictures seemed to be a bit aggresive, colors didn't look natural just too overexposed. By: ellover009 - If you want quality good out of jpeg and don't wanna mess too much with post prossesing D50, if you are willing to mess with photoshop D70s can yield better results not with noise but features and flexibility. Overall the D50 is a great camera for anyone.]]>
By: Orac - Going by the DSLR lens mm X 1.5 = 35mm film equivalent, a flash that covers 28mm to 80mm for 35mm film should be sufficient. If you're going wider then 24 or 20 mm wide coverage.
For 300mm, most flashes only go to 105mm (35mm film) anyway, so it's kinda a non issue.

By: avatar3k - I shoot Nikon, but I use my 70-200 f/2.8 VR ALOT, which is basically the same thing. I love that I have VR on it, and it's really helpful when I'm shooting speakers in small rooms where flash would disturb people - on a monopod with VR/IS on, I can get great 1/30second exposures.
Oh, and I shoot sports too, although I don't find VR to be nearly as useful then.]]>

I am trying to shoot the calibration target image from the Neat image software to make a noise profile from RAW. The one available there works for adobe camera raw, but I use capture one. I saw some one by name of Alan Bremner who made that profile which has 93% to 96% quality. The ones which I make are not crossing 74% at all :(
